About Nick and Suzanne Pearson
Trésors de la mer
Having owned a house near the Atlantic coast of France since 1989, we have lived here permanently since 1998. For the last 10 years, we have been able to develop our passion scouring the local beaches for 'treasures' from the sea - including driftwood, shells and sea-glass. They are then transformed into decorative objects including lamps, candle holders, signs, jewellery and cards.
Suzanne has been embroidering for many years and her hand embroidered seascapes and landscapes are her speciality, which are then framed in unique pieces of driftwood.
Nick studied at Berkshire College of Art and Design before going into graphic reproduction. He is now able to live his dream, painting delicate watercolours of the local seabirds, which are then set into driftwood and protected under glass, and also painting directly onto the driftwood.
In recent years we have been featured in the magazine 'Country Living' in England, and twice in the French magazine 'Coté Ouest'. Our creations have been sold in galleries and shops both in England and France.
Should you be interested in visiting the beautiful area of the Vendee, on the west coast of France, we also have a restored, traditional, cottage to rent for holidays.
